George Gordon Education Centre:

 

 

GGFN leadership and staff strongly encourages all student to attend school and do their best in this new school year. We recognize that education is extremely important and can ensure that our youth reach their goals.

Last school year, we finished the academic year with 354 students attending.

We would like to congratulate the following students, who graduated Grade 12 at Punnichy High:

Brett McNab

Ralph Severight

Dilynn Kehler

Alberta Bear

Levi Hunter

Celeste Pelletier

Michael Dieter-Morris.

Way to go!!!!!

Parents, please be reminded that students from grades 7-12 will receive an incentive reward based on the following criteria:

· Average over 60% (grades 7-9)

· Average over 65% (grades 10-12)

· Attendance (3 or less days absent)

· Participation in extracurricular activities (sports, year book, SRC, etc)

Any student who is suspended for any reason is automatically ineligible of incentive awards.

Unfortunately, all funding received by the GGFN Education Department is targeted for on reserve membership. Any students who are living off receive are ineligible for educational funding.
